Project Overview
In summer 2024, we completed a multi-functional backyard project that gave this Johnston homeowner a comfortable, usable space year-round. Work includes:
- Custom 13’x15′ Attached Shed: Fully insulated and finished shed constructed with 2×4 framing, blown-in insulation, and LP SmartSide siding. It includes electrical wiring, a window, double doors, and paint to match the house—perfect for a workshop, hobby space, or extra storage.
- Foundation & Concrete Work: We poured footings and a foundation pad for the shed, and added a 600 sqft extension to the existing concrete patio—perfect for outdoor gatherings.
- Electrical Install: The shed is wired with one overhead light and several outlets to meet code and provide functional lighting and power.
- Permitting & Compliance: We handled all local permitting and inspection requirements, ensuring everything met code from the ground up.
The homeowner calls it his “man cave,” but a structure like this is ideal for a wide range of uses.
